For Dog and Cat owners

Posted by: ilovekenya on: January 30, 2008

To be posted VERY LOW on the refrigerator door – pet nose height.

Dear Dogs and Cats:
The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food.  Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim [...]

nesting

Posted by: ilovekenya on: January 29, 2008

this is a crazy hormone reaction that my little nest must be perfect for the arrival of our new one. it has meant a lot of crazy stuff. i have re-potted plants, rearranged furniture (earlier on, with help), washed just about every surface twice, and have made a plan to clean the apartment from top [...]

32 and 33 weeks pregnant

Posted by: ilovekenya on: January 29, 2008

Baby Anna Kate is doing well! We saw the doctor last week after a short illness with the stomach bug. The stomach bug has gone away, and the doctor was happy with everything our “little” one is doing so far! She will be measured by ultrasound a little closer to her due date because she [...]

changes and addiction to clean

Posted by: ilovekenya on: January 28, 2008

this is a random mixture of thoughts, but, if you have hung out with me recently, you understand how crazy the hormones have been.

Posted by: ilovekenya on: January 15, 2008

i heard a sermon recently where the speaker stated “either Christ is who he says he is – the Son of God before creation and salvation for us all, or, He is deceptive, manipulative, and lying to thousands about himself and the future if they believe in him.” i have been chewing on this statement [...]

Posted by: ilovekenya on: January 10, 2008

I went to the doctor on Tuesday, and we got another happy report. Anna Katherine is doing very well! The doctor is going to do another sonogram to check her size. He estimates her to be about 4-6 lbs right now with 9 weeks to go. Most babies are around 3-4 lbs right now. I [...]

hot mic

i think all too often we do not adhere to the adage, think before you speak.  remember the scene in “my big fat greek wedding” where one of the aunts said in reference to the marriage “for, you, we thought this would never happen. we are so excited.”  the aunt was trying to be rude or cruel, [...]

Posted by: ilovekenya on: January 2, 2008

I knew that the violence in Kenya was near where myself and 5 others from my church had been this summer, but, I didn’t realize it is taking place among the very people we lived with, ate with, and worked with for 10 days. There was a presidential election and the former president won by [...]
